EqualChance.net is a charity foundation supporting 200 Cambodian children in school. We operate based on donations only and completely on a voluntary basis.

How do I register?

By registering you agree to participate in the run and donate at least 75 EUR as described bellow.

Please go to this link to register for the runs:

16km day run – 23 September password: RUN4KIDS

8km evening run – 22 September – we will email you an invite link

*We will provide you with Equal Chance T-shirt and a ticket, if you want you can purchase additional Dam2Dam products during registration.

How does it work?

Every runner commits to a donation of 75 EUR to Equal Chance. The donation will cover for the costs related to the run and sponsor one child for half a year in school.

How to I donate?

Its simple – you can pay us 75 EUR to Stichting Equal Chance NL35 INGB 0007 8781 18 or fundraise from your social circle, this will usually result in more donation hence more children in school.

To start a fundraiser click here and add your own running page, then share it with your family and friends.

You can also share NL35 INGB 0007 8781 18 with your family and friends, just make sure they mention your name the description of the transfer.

When is the run?

16km day run starts between 9:00 and 16:00 on Sunday 23 September.

8km evening run starts between 17:00 and 20:00 on Saturday 22 September.

We will know the exact time a few weeks before the run. For both runs we will meet an hour before our start time to take a group photo and distribute t-shirts and bibs.

I already have a running ticket with another group, can I participate?

It is possible to run with another ticket, and fundraise for Equal Chance, there is no minimum amount you are expected to raise then and we will support you with a t-shirt and stickers.

What if I can’t run?

If you are unable to run, please inform us as soon as possible so we could resign the ticket. When cancelling 14 days before the run or later we will expect 40 EUR donation to cover the costs.

On the 16th of September, 16 very dedicated people set off on a run challenge for 5 English miles as part of the yearly Dam 2 Dam running event in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. With the help of the runners and their friends and relatives we were able to raise €5,000 (!!!) and re-open the school in the Banan village for 100 happy kids!!! We are so grateful not only for your generous donations but for the great spirit of people who keep supporting us! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! And we should aim for 10 Miles next year – at least we will be working hard on both organizing a run for our awesome supporters but also helping more kids which are waiting eagerly to have a chance to join the school. If you don’t want to wait for a run you can always help a kid now with getting education: we have a brand new donation page and 200 kids who are waiting for a chance to go to school 🙂

We always believed that education is the only way you can really help a country and the world to develop – that’s the reason why we opened the Equal Chance foundation. Now we embark on our first mission to keep a school operating, for children that have no other access to education.

Join us for the Dam tot Dam 5 English Miles (8km) Night Run on September 16 and fund raise to keep the 70 kids from Banan Village in School.

Last year’s run was an awesome experience!

What should you do?

If you are interested, please sign up here:

https://registration.mylaps.com/dam-tot-dam-loop/register/AcceptTeamInvitation?teamId=11229

and the team password is: runforkids

If you run for Equal Chance we expect you to commit to support the foundation with at least 75 EUR (of course the more money we raise the longer the school can operate). This amount represents the cost of the ticket and a donation of 35 EUR – this donation amount sponsors one child for half a year. We will provide you with the sign up details to the race, an Equal Chance running T-shirt and a platform for you to fund raise for your run.

Who are we?

Equal Chance was founded after our visit to Cambodia where we got the chance to visit some local schools operated by the Cambodian Child and Hope Association. With the generous help of friends and family we were able to raise enough money to open a new school for 70 children that have no other access to education, and now enjoy Khmer and English lessons. When we returned to Europe we founded Equal Chance to continue support Children, Youth and Women in developing countries.

For more details reach out to Tania, Sofia, Reto, Enrico and email us at info@equalchance.net or visit the website www.equalchance.net.

In December 2016 we were able to raise 3,500$  to support the opening a school in Banan Village,  Cambodia. The school is a 3rd school that is operated by the Cambodian Child and Hope Association.

From January 2017, 67 children aged 6 years old are attending school every day – many for them for the first time in their lives.

In October 2017 we have submitted our first official donation of 5,000 to sponsor 100 children for another year.

The school, as all other schools operated  by CCAHA is open 5 days a week for 3 hours. A class for younger pupils and a class for pupils aged 12 years old and more where all children learn Khmer and English.
